Love Story -Taylor Swift
My first time to a real gig. (No, school concerts doesn't count as gigs.) Shafiq's friend's band is performing so we got the tickets at a much discounted price of $8.
The venue was at The Arts Playhouse. We thought we were later as the gig shown at the tickets says it starts at 1pm. But when we arrived, it hasn't even started yet. So yea, we panicked for nothing...
We get this free chop upon entering! Woo hoo!
Not long after waiting and mkaing ourselves comfortable. It finally started.
The opening band, and I say the best band I've heard. The guitarist (below) is very skilled, despite a few mistakes here and there. And a strong voice too. I can say this band is very experienced.
The bassist and the drummer. Oh I forgot to mention, they're a 3-piece band. Not bad eh?
Next was Shafiq's friend's band, also known as Never Forget Today. A 5-piece band. Not bad, but could've been better if the vocal was louder. The drummer is a pro, I must say, to the extend that one of the drumsticks he was holding flew out of his hand while playing a drum fill. Shafiq's friend is Yana, who is the girl bassist in the pics below.

Next was another band which I forgot the name... =x
The songs I remembered they played was Unholy Confessions -Avenged Sevenfold and their opening song, Zombies -The Cranberries. Frankly speaking, they have poor coordination, and the vocal is kinda hard to hear. But I kinda admire them for the fact that they manage to perform at a gig.
That guy there? Is the screamer for the song Unholy Confessions? Cool shit huh?
The crowd on the other side of the room.
Last but not least, the singer/songwriter whose songs are mostly relationship related. Everyone in the room when "Aww..." in a sarcastically sad tone when he said that one of his song he was about to sing was about this girl that broke his heart thrice. Not twice but 3 times!
After which was a break. But we took the opportunity to leave. Don't ask why, I don't even know the reason.
And yea, Verdell wanted me to take a picture of this and post it on the blog.
UFOMFG!
